how do i block users?
okimok is an friendly open platform, publically acccessible for anyone. you cannot block any users for your photo stream.
how do i close my account?
if you are thinking about closing your account, please rethink. maybe okimok will come in handy somewhere in your near future. please also note that we are continuously updating the platform. if you still want to close it, send us an email and we will close your account for you.
how do i get into the top 5 most popular?
try to gain as much followers as you can, since this is the indicator of popularity. mail some friends and invite them to okimok, so they can become your follower too.
can everyone see my photos?
yes, your solo stream is public. that means anyone, also non okimok members who surf directly to your unique solo stream page.
i would like to react on a photo, how can i do that?
okimok is a dedicated photo streaming service. if you would like to react on someone's photo, try reacting through a photo! really, it's fun! if you must use text, type an @reply in your photo's title. be sure that the user you reply to is following you as well.
how do i get more followers?
first, try following more people yourself. some of them will start following you too. then, mail some friends and invite them to okimok, so they can become your follower too. maybe the auto tweet feature for Twitter will gain you some extra followers too.
how can i upload my thumb?
enter your account settings by clicking 'account' once you are signed in and then choose the 'picture' tab where you upload your thumb.

can i change my nickname?
nope, you can't. your nickname is your unique name on okimok. people can access your public solo stream through a nickname based url.
iPhone app
where can i download the iPhone app?
the iPhone app is available for download in the itunes store. another option is to click on one of the 'get free iPhone app' incentives throughout the website. this will take you directly to the app location in the itunes store.
uploading a photo takes more than a minute, what is wrong?
this can be twofold, either your iPhone has a slow internet connection or there are too many simultaneous upload requests to the okimok server. problems with jailbroken iPhones could also occur. please let us know if okimok crashes often.
where can i use the iPhone app?
anywhere your iPhone has an internet connection, although in foreign countries you may have to turn your iPhone's 'data roaming' option on. be careful with provider costs when going abroad though, since they may charge additional fees.
do i have to pay for uploading photos?
if your provider charges you a flat fee for receiving internet on your iPhone, uploading photos to okimok won't cost you anything more. if you pay for the amount of upload/download traffic though, your provider will charge you on the uploaded photos.
